Knock-out drums & vessels is a Separators application handled with cold-applied Belzona repair composites and protective coatings, supplied and applied in place, typically with no hot work and no shutdown. As the authorized Belzona distributor for South Texas and the Gulf, our team specifies the right system, then supplies it, applies it, or both.

What tends to go wrong in Separators: Inlet erosion from sand-laden multiphase flow at the inlet nozzle and distributor. Bottom-head pitting in the water-and-sand collection zone.

About Separators
Separator vessels see a difficult combination at every internal surface: hydrocarbon, water, sand, and dissolved gas in continuous contact. Erosion-corrosion at the inlet, sand-scour on the bottom head, and chemical pitting in produced-water service are the dominant findings. Belzona's immersion-grade and chemical-resistant systems are graded to the service.
